'The Ashes' cricket series brings Qantas Widebodies to Adelaide

Due to the 'The Ashes' cricket series currently happening in Australia Qantas threw on some extra wide bodies (2 of which were special visitors) to cater the demand of taking teams and supporters from Adelaide over to the Perth for the 3rd test.

Qantas B767-300ER VH-OGJ arrived ex. Brisbane at 11.30hrs as 'QF661'. The aircraft departed to Perth as 'QF587' at 12.45hrs.

Qantas B767-300ER VH-OGR arrived ex. Sydney at 11.55hrs as 'QF741'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney as 'QF736' at 13.55hrs.

Qantas B767-300ER VH-OGG arrived ex. Melbourne at 12.45hrs as 'QF683'. The aircraft departed to Perth at 14.55hrs as 'QF587' . OGG was a special visitor as it was the 1st time this aircraft has visited Adelaide since it had its 'Disney Planes' Decals added to it.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBN arrived ex. Sydney at 13.10hrs as 'QF581'. The aircraft departed to Perth at 14.05hrs as 'QF581'. This flight is a daily scheduled Sydney-Perth flight, however due to the cricket, the airline decided to re-route the flought via Adelaide to pick up any excess supporters.

VH-EBN has only visited once prior to today. Its last visit was way back on 15/8/11 when it diverted into Adelaide whilst operating QF597 from Brisbane to Perth.
