China Southern Airlines begins Guangzhou-Adelaide flights

China Southern Airlines today commenced 3 flights a week from Guangzhou to Adelaide. These flights have been a long time in the making and a handful of charters in previous years operated by A330-300's and B777-200ER's today marked a momentous occasion for Adelaie Airport. These new flights will be the 1st flights connecting Adelaide to mainland china.

The 1st flight was operated by A330-200 B-6135 arrives from Guangzhou at 09.25hrs as 'China Southern 663'. The aircraft departed back to Guangzhou as 'China Southern 664' departing at 11.50hrs. This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide.

With the commencement of China Southern services it takes Adelaide to 56 International flights a week covering 8 destinations.
