Air New Zealand B787-9 ZK-NZE diverts in (1st ever B787 to visit Adelaide)

Air New Zealand B787-9 ZK-NZE operating 'NZ176' operating from Perth to Auckland diverted to Adelaide due to a medical emergency. The aircraft arrived at 00.05hrs and then continued to Auckland departing at 01.50hrs.

This aircraft also wears the Air New Zealand special 'All Blacks' Livery. This was the 1st visit of an All blacks special to visit Adelaide. The airlines has an A320 (Domestic flights only), ATR, and a B777-300ER that are painted up in this speicla livery.

Cessna Citation 525C N159CJ arrives on a demonstration tour

Cessna Aircraft Company owned Cessna 525C (CJ4) N159CJ arrived today from Sydney at 12.25hrs. The aircraft departed at 15.30hrs on a 1 hour demonstration tour around South Australia, it arrived back into Adelaide at 16.35hrs.

Safair C130 Hercules ZS-JIV makes a visit (1st Visit)

Safair Lockhhed L100 Hercules ZS-JIV arrived from the Cocos Island at 20.00hrs as 'Safair 518'. The aircraft overnighted in Adelaide, before departing to Chritchurch, NZ at 10.45hrs using the same callsign.

This is the JIV's 1st visit to Adelaide. Safair are yearly visitors to Adelaide as they use the airport as a tech stop en route from South Africa to Christchurch for the up coning Antarctic expeditions.

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSD (1st visit)

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSD arrived at 09.15hrs as 'SQ279'. The aircraft departed back to Singapore as 'SQ278' at 11.45hrs.

This was SSD's 1st visit to Adelaide since it entered service on 23/9/14. The aircraft was delivered to Singapore direct from Toulouse, France on 21/9/14.

Cathay Pacific Cargo B747-867F B-LJB arrived from Melbourne at 16.55hrs as 'CX022'. The aircraft departed at 18.35hrs to Hong Kong using the same flight number.

This flight was a very historic event for Adelaide Airport. Not only was it B-LJB's 1st visit to Adelaide. It was also the 1st visit of Boeing 747-8 Varient to visit Adelaide. The last visit by a Cathay Cargo aircraft was back on 28/12/11 when B747-400F B-HUH made a visit.

Atlas Air B747-400F N493MC makes a visit (1st vist)

Atlas Air (operated by Qantas Freight) B747-400F N493MC arrived from Sydney at 13.35hrs as 'QF7581'. The aircraft night stopped before departing the following evening at 21.40hrs to Bangkok, Thailand using the same flight number.

This was N493MC's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was the 1st Atlas aircraft to visit Adelaide in 2014. The last visit we had was back on 26/11/14 when N419MC made a quick visit operating QF7581.

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YIW arrived ex. Melbourne at 10.55hrs operating 'VA221'. The aircraft departed to Denpasar at 13.55hrs as 'VA33'.

This was YIW's 1st visit to Adelaide, It was delivered on 18/9/14 and entered revenue service on 1/10/14.
