Qantas B747-400 VH-OJT makes a visit

Qantas B747-400 VH-OJT arrived ex.Sydney at 11.05hrs as 'QF6007'. The aircraft then departed to Darwin at 12.45hrs as 'QF1364'. It is understood the aircraft was preforming a Defence Force charter up to Darwin.

This was OJT's 2nd visit to Adelaide. Its one and only previous visit was 21/10/13 whe the aircraft diverted to Adelaide whilst operating 'QF6' from Singapore-Sydney

Double Qantas A330-200's make 1st visit to Adelaide

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBR arrived from Sydney at 18.25hrs as 'QF765'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney at 19.35hrs as 'QF774'. This was EBR's 1st visit to Adelaide as a Qantas A330, it made many visits to Adelaide yesars ago when VH-EBR was used on Qantas B747-200.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBC arrived from Melbourne at 18.45hrs as 'QF696'. The aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 20.00hrs as 'QF697'. This was EBC's 1st visit to Adelaide operating with Qantas. It had previously visited on diversion to Adelaide as VH-EBC when it was operating for Jetstar on 15/6/07 and again on 27/1/08.

The purpose of the 2 A330's visit to Adelaide was to bring in extra cargo and supporters of the Santos Tour Down Under bike race.

Qantas Retro Roo II VH-VXQ 1st visit to Adelaide

Qantas B737-800 VH-VXQ now nicknamed 'Retro Roo II' made its 1st visit tin its new livery arriving from Sydney as 'QF743' at 19.55. After spending the night, the aircraft departed at 07.10 the next day bound for Brisbane as 'QF660'.

VXQ now wears the Qantas livery which the airline used on its B707's from 1959-1961 when the airline revolutionised Long haul travel.

Double A380's in Adelaide

A piece of history was witnessed in Adelaide this evening with not 1 but 2 A380's paying Adelaide a visit due to bad weather in Melbourne.

Qantas A380 VH-OQD operating 'Qantas 10 Super' from (London)- Dubai- Melbourne arrived into Adelaide at 21.25hrs. After refueling the aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 22.30hrs using the same flight number.

This was OQD's 2nd visit to Adelaide in the space of 3 weeks, with the same aircraft diverting to Adelaide on 18/9/15 operating the same flight.

Emirates A380 A6-EEH operating 'Emirates 407 Super' from Auckland-Melbourne arrived into Adelaide at 21.40hrs. After sitting down the end of the runway for almost 1hr, the aircraft finally manged to get a bay and get refueled, 'Emirates 407 Super' departed at 23.40hrs back to Melbourne.

This was EEH's 1st visit to Adelaide, the 2nd Emirates A380 to visit Adelaide (A6-EDC visited back in 21/2/13), it was also the 1st A6-EE* block of aircraft in the Emirates fleet to visit Adelaide,

Qantas A380 VH-OQD diverts to Adelaide

Qantas Airways A380 VH-OQD operating 'QF10' from (London)-Dubai-Melbourne diverted to Adelaide this evening arriving at 19.25hrs due to a medical emergency. After the passenger was taken care of and removed from the aircraft as well as a quick refuel, the aircraft departed to Melbourne using the same callsign at 20.38hrs.

This was OQD's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also the 7th Qantas A380 to visit Adelaide.

Qantas B747-400ER VH-OEH (1st Visit)

Qantas B747-400ER VH-OEH arrived ex.Sydney at 21.35hrs as 'QF6105'. The aircraft overnighted in Adelaide, before departing the following morning at 06.30hrs as 'QF2903' bound for a 13 hour scenic flight over Antarctica. The aircraft arrived back into Adelaide at 19.40hrs using the same flight number. The aircraft overnighted in Adelaide again and departed on 9/2/15 bound for Sydney as 'QF6106'.

This was OEH's 1st visit to Adelaide. This leaves just VH-OEJ to make a visit to Adelaide.

QantasLink DHC8-400 VH-LQD arrived from Perth at 16.40hrs as 'QF2678'. The aircraft will operate one flight to Port Lincoln this afternoon. The 1st being at 17.15hrs as 'QF2273'.  The aircraft overnighted in Adelaide, operated a Pt. Lincoln flight and then departed at 11.00hrs the next day back to Canberra as 'QF2092'.

This is LQD's 2nd visit to Adelaide. The aircraft visited Adelaide during its ferry over from the East Coast to Perth in 2012, the aircraft has not moved from Perth since.

Another Duo of Qantas A330's visit Adelaide

After making very visits in recent years to Adelaide, Qantas sent in the space of 2 weeks 4 A330's. 3 of which were A330-200's and 1 A330-300.

After sending A330-200's EBN and EBG a couple of weeks ago, this time the Airline sent A330-200 VH-EBO which arrived at 08.30hrs as 'QF673' from Melbourne. The aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 09.30hrs.

Later on in the morning, A330-300 VH-QPJ arrived from Sydney at 11.40hrs as 'QF741', the aircraft departed back to Sydney at 12.45hrs as 'QF752'

QantasLink DHC8-400 VH-LQG (1st Visit)

QantasLink DHC8-400 VH-LQG arrived from Perth at 16.40hrs as 'QF2678'. The aircraft will operate one flight to Port Lincoln this afternoon. The 1st being at 17.15hrs as 'QF2273'.  The aircraft overnighted in Adelaide, operated a Pt. Lincoln flight and then departed at 11.00hrs the next day back to Canberra as 'QF2092'.

This is LQG's 1st visit to Adelaide. The aircraft has been in Perth since it was delivered. Due to the aircraft needing some heavy maintenance, LQG had to come back across to the East Coast, it is unknown weather the aircraft will return back to Perth.

A duo of Qantas A330-200's visit Adelaide.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBH arrived from Sydney at 14.00hrs as 'QF751'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney at 15.10hrs as 'QF756'.

This was EBH's 1st visit to Adelaide since it the aircraft's stopped serving Adelaide Airport when the aircraft operated the QF81/82 to Singapore service.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBN arrived from Melbourne at 19.10hrs as 'QF697'. The aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 20.15hrs as 'QF696'.

This was EBN's 1st visit to Adelaide since it operated a special 'QF581' flight routing Sydney-Adelaide-Perth flight on 10/12/13.

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZP 'Retro Roo' visits Adelaide (1st Visit)

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZP arrived at 08.45hrs from Sydney as 'QF735'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney at 09.30hrs as 'QF738'.

This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide. This aircraft was is the 75th and final B737-800 to be delivered to Qantas, this aircraft is also painted in the airlines former livery call ed the 'flying kangaroo' which the airline used in the 1980's.

Atlas Air B747-400F N493MC makes a visit (1st vist)

Atlas Air (operated by Qantas Freight) B747-400F N493MC arrived from Sydney at 13.35hrs as 'QF7581'. The aircraft night stopped before departing the following evening at 21.40hrs to Bangkok, Thailand using the same flight number.

This was N493MC's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was the 1st Atlas aircraft to visit Adelaide in 2014. The last visit we had was back on 26/11/14 when N419MC made a quick visit operating QF7581.

Qantas A330-300 VH-QPA diverts to Adelaide (1st visit in new Livery)

Qantas Airways A330-300 VH-QPA operating 'QF30' from Hong Kong-Melbourne diverted to Adelaide, arriving at 0715hrs. The aircraft continued to Melbourne, departing Adelaide at 09.20hrs.

This was QPA's 1st visit into Adelaide since being re-painted into the new Qantas Livery. Qantas A330-300's are very rare into Adelaide these days since the airline pulled its thrice weekly Adelaide-Singapore service back in 2012.

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZN (1st Visit)

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZN arrived ex. Sydney at 16.45hrs operating 'QF761'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney at 17.30hrs as 'QF766'.

This was XZN's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also its 2nd and 3rd revenue flights. It entered service earlier in the day operating QF511 from Brisbane to Sydney. It was delivered on 4/9/14.

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZM arrived ex. Melbourne at 20.05hrs operating 'QF701'. The following morning the aircraft departed at 07.30hrs to Melbourne as 'QF674'.

This was XZM's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also its 3rd and 4th revenue flights. It entered service earlier in the day operating QF613 from Brisbane to Melbourne. It was delivered on 6/8/14.

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZL arrived ex. Melbourne at 15.58hrs operating 'QF689'. The aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 16.55hrs as 'QF692'.

This was XZL's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also its 2nd and 3rd revenue flights. It entered service earlier in the day operating QF645 from Brisbane to Melbourne. It was delivered on 30/7/14.

Qantas Freight B737-300F Diverts to Adelaide

Qantas Freight B737-300F VH-XMB operating 'QF7334' from Perth to Melbourne diverted Adelaide due to bad fog blanketing and closing Melbourne Airport. The aircraft arrived into Adelaide at 10.40hrs, after a quick fuel stop the aircraft departed at 12.05hrs continuing its trip to Melbourne.

This aircraft has recently been repainted into full Qantas Freight Livery, this was the 1st visit of a Qantas Freight painted aircraft to Adelaide.

Qantas A380-800 VH-OQI diverts to Adelaide (1st Visit)

Qantas Airways A380-800 VH-OQI operating 'QF10' from Dubai to Melbourne diverted to Adelaide due to bad fog blanketing and closing Melbourne Airport. The aircraft arrived into Adelaide at 05.05hrs, after a quick refuel the aircraft continued down to Melbourne at 06.35hrs.

This was OQI's 1st visit to Adelaide and only the 5th A380 to ever visit Adelaide.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBV diverts to Adelaide

Qantas Airways A330-202 VH-EBV operating 'QF480' from Perth-Melbourne diverted to Adelaide today due to an aircraft getting stranded on one of Melbourne Airports runway. 'QF480' arrived into Adelaide at 11.45hrs, after refueling the aircraft continued to Melbourne departing at 13.35hrs.

This was EBV's 2nd visit to Adelaide. Its 1st visit was back on 27/1/14. The aircraft does wear 'One World' Alliance titles on its fuselage.

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBV 'One World' Titles (1st Visit)

Qantas A330-200 VH-EBV arrived from Sydney at 11.55hrs as 'QF741'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney at 13.10hrs as 'QF752'.

This was EBV's 1st visit to Adelaide, EBV also sports the 'One World' alliance decals on it.
