United States Air Force C17 07-7183 (1st Visit)

United States Air Force C17 Globemaster 07-7183 'Charleston Air Froce Base' arrived ex. Brisbane at 21.30hrs as 'Reach 540'. The aircraft departed to Canberra at 09.00hrs on 1/12/16 using the same callsign.

This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide. It is the 3rd USAF C17 to visit Adelaide Airport and the 3rd foreign Air Force C17 to visit the airport in the past 12 months.

Royal Air Force C17 'ZZ176' (1st Visit)

Following on from ZZ173's visit last week, this week Royal Air Force C17 Globemaster III ZZ176 arrived from Whenuapai, New Zealand at 16.30hrs as 'Ascot 6342'. The aircraft will night stopped in Adelaide.

This was ZZ176's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is only the 4th RAF C17 to visit Adelaide with sisterships ZZ171, 172 and 173 making visits. .

Royal Air Force C17 Globemaster III ZZ173 arrived from Whenuapai, New Zealand at 17.35hrs as 'Ascot 6697'. The aircraft night stopped in Adelaide and departed the following day to Woomera, SA at 1230hrs then onto Perth, WA.

This was ZZ173's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is only the 3rd RAF C17 to visit Adelaide with sisterships ZZ171 and 172 making visits. ZZ172 was the last one to visit way back in July 2007.
