Deer Jet Gulfstream 550 B-8152 arrived ex. Sydney at 11.00hrs as 'Deer 577'. The aircraft departed back to Sydney on 28/1/15 at 20.10hrs as 'Deer 578'.

This is the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is also the 1st visit of a Deer Jet airline aircraft to visit Adelaide.

SAAB 340B N420XJ arrives on delivery

Former Silver Airways SAAB 340B N420XJ arrived ex. Orange at 13.35hrs completing its delivery flight to Regional Express. The aircraft will under go maintenance and possible re-paint in Adelaide before entering service with the Regional airline.

The aircraft made an massive 6 stops from its delivery port in USA at Bangor. it routed Bangor-Renton- Hilo- Apia-Coolangatta-Orange-Adelaide.

Royal Air Force C17 'ZZ176' (1st Visit)

Following on from ZZ173's visit last week, this week Royal Air Force C17 Globemaster III ZZ176 arrived from Whenuapai, New Zealand at 16.30hrs as 'Ascot 6342'. The aircraft will night stopped in Adelaide.

This was ZZ176's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is only the 4th RAF C17 to visit Adelaide with sisterships ZZ171, 172 and 173 making visits. .

Harpo Productions Gulfstream 550 N540W (1st Visit)

Harpo Productions Gulfstream 550 N540W arrived from Melbourne at 12.30hrs. After spending a couple of days in Adelaide the aircraft departed to Perth on 5/12/15 at 11.30hrs.

This weas the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide. The aircraft was carrying in US daytime personality Oprah Winfrey on her tour around the country,

Royal Air Force C17 'ZZ173' (1st Visit)

Royal Air Force C17 Globemaster III ZZ173 arrived from Whenuapai, New Zealand at 17.35hrs as 'Ascot 6697'. The aircraft night stopped in Adelaide and departed the following day to Woomera, SA at 1230hrs then onto Perth, WA.

This was ZZ173's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is only the 3rd RAF C17 to visit Adelaide with sisterships ZZ171 and 172 making visits. ZZ172 was the last one to visit way back in July 2007.

Qantas Retro Roo II VH-VXQ 1st visit to Adelaide

Qantas B737-800 VH-VXQ now nicknamed 'Retro Roo II' made its 1st visit tin its new livery arriving from Sydney as 'QF743' at 19.55. After spending the night, the aircraft departed at 07.10 the next day bound for Brisbane as 'QF660'.

VXQ now wears the Qantas livery which the airline used on its B707's from 1959-1961 when the airline revolutionised Long haul travel. 

Comlux Malta A319CJ 9H-AVK makes a visit (1st Visit)

Comlux Malta A319CJ 9H-AVK arrived ex. Sydney at 14.55hrs as 'LuxMalta 26'. After spending a couple days in Adelaide the aircraft departed back to Sydney on 22/11/15 at 14.20hrs using the same callsign.

This is the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide. This aircraft is being used by Rock Band AC/DC for their tour around Australia. 

Embraer 550 N142GZ (1st Visit)

Mackay based Embraer 550 Legacy N142GZ arrived from its home base at 12.40hrs. After spending a long 8 days in Adelaide, the aircraft departed back home to Mack at 10.50hrs on 28/11/15.

This was the aircraft's 2nd visit to Adelaide.

Gulfstream 450 N903G (1st visit)

Canal Air LLC owned Gulfstream 450 N903G arrived ex. Melbourne-Essendon Airport at 10.40hrs. The aircraft ngiht stopped in Adelaide before departing to Singapore the following day at 08.40hrs.

This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide

Jetstar A320 VH-VFV 'Sunglass Hut' Decals (1st Visit)

Jetstar A320-232 VH-VFV arrived ex. Brisbane as 'JQ784' at 16.20hrs. The aircraft night stopped in Adelaide before departing the next morning at 06.35hrs as 'JQ771'.

The aircraft has had special decals applied promoting glasses chain 'Sunglass Hut' and the upcoming Australian summer. 

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFU (1st Visit)

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFU arrived from Alice Springs at 13.00hrs at 'VA1740'. The aircraft then departed back to Alice Springs at 14.00hrs as 'VA1741'.

This was YFU's 1st visit to Adelaide since entering service with the airline on 24/10/15.

Gulfstream 650 ZK-KFB (1st visit)

Executive Airlines Gulfstream 650 ZK-KFB arrived ex. Sydney at 01.15hrs. The aircraft stayed in Adelaide for a couple of days before departing to Perth at 23.00hrs on 28/10/15.

This was KFB's 1st visit to Adelaide as a G650. KFB has visited previously when it was worn on a Gulfstream 4 and 550. This was also the 2nd visit of a Gulfstream 650 to Adelaide. This visit by ZK-KFB was to carry seventies band Fleetwood Mac around the country for their current tour.

Double A380's in Adelaide

A piece of history was witnessed in Adelaide this evening with not 1 but 2 A380's paying Adelaide a visit due to bad weather in Melbourne.

Qantas A380 VH-OQD operating 'Qantas 10 Super' from (London)- Dubai- Melbourne arrived into Adelaide at 21.25hrs. After refueling the aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 22.30hrs using the same flight number.

This was OQD's 2nd visit to Adelaide in the space of 3 weeks, with the same aircraft diverting to Adelaide on 18/9/15 operating the same flight.

Emirates A380 A6-EEH operating 'Emirates 407 Super' from Auckland-Melbourne arrived into Adelaide at 21.40hrs. After sitting down the end of the runway for almost 1hr, the aircraft finally manged to get a bay and get refueled, 'Emirates 407 Super' departed at 23.40hrs back to Melbourne.

This was EEH's 1st visit to Adelaide, the 2nd Emirates A380 to visit Adelaide (A6-EDC visited back in 21/2/13), it was also the 1st A6-EE* block of aircraft in the Emirates fleet to visit Adelaide,

Locheed Martin operated Gulfstream 550 N344RS arrived at 08.40hrs from Sydney. After night stopping in Adelaide, the aircraft departed on 9/10/15 to Honolulu at 07.00hrs.

This was N344RS's 1st visit to Adelaide.

Falcon 2000 VH-FJO makes a visit (1st Visit)

Sydney Jet Charter operator Flacon 2000 VH-FJO arrived from Pt. Augusta at 16.20hrs. The aaircraft ond departed at 10.00hrs to Parkes, NSW.

This was FJO's 1st visit to Adelaide. It was also the 1st Falcon 2000 to visit Adelaide in 2015.

China Southern B787-8 B-2735 diverts to Adelaide

China Southern B787-8 B-2735 operating 'CZ319' from Guangzhou- Perth arrived into Adelaide at 11.55hrs due to thick fog blanketing Perth. After spending a little bit of time in Adelaide and a quick refuel the aircraft departed back to Perth at 13.15hrs.

This was the 1st visit of B-2735 to Adelaide, it was alost the 2nd visit of B787-8 to Adelaide. However it was the 3rd visit by a B787 to Adelaide, the 1st was Air New Zealand B787-9 ZK-NZE back in November 2014 and 2nd was China Southern B787-8 B-2372 on 5/7/15.

Thomson Airways (operated by TCS Expeditions) B757-200(WL) G-OOBF arrived ex. Fua'amotu International Airport, Tonga at 13.10hrs as 'Thomson 980'. After spending 4 days in Adelaide the aircraft departed to Jakarta at 12.10hrs on 5/10/15 using the same callsign.

This is G-OOBF's 2nd visit to Adelaide in 2015. The aircraft visited 18/4/15- 22/4/15. The aircraft is decked out in a all business class configuration. Adelaide was the 3rd stop in a 8 leg around the world flight.

Global 5000 N3389H makes a visit (1st visit)

Wells Fargo Bank Global 5000 N3389H arrived from Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport at 18.30hrs. The aircraft stuayed a couple of days in Adelaide before departing to Sydney at 15.05hrs on 23/9/15.

Qantas Airways A380 VH-OQD operating 'QF10' from (London)-Dubai-Melbourne diverted to Adelaide this evening arriving at 19.25hrs due to a medical emergency. After the passenger was taken care of and removed from the aircraft as well as a quick refuel, the aircraft departed to Melbourne using the same callsign at 20.38hrs.

This was OQD's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also the 7th Qantas A380 to visit Adelaide. 

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFS (1st Visit)

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFS arrived ex. Darwin at 11.30hrs. as 'VA1576'. The aircraft departed at 12.25hrs to Sydney as 'VA417'.

This was YFS's 1st visit to Adelaide since it entered service on 4/9/15.

Tigerair A320-232(WL) VH-XUH (1st Visit)

Tigerair A320-232(WL) VH-XUH arrived ex. Melbourne at 14.20hrs as 'TT461'. The aircraft departed back to Melbourne at 15.00hrs as 'TT462'.

This was XUH's 1st visit to Adelaide. The aircraft also made its 2nd visit to Adelaide later on in the day operating 'TT471/472' MEL-ADL-MEL service. This is also Tigerair Australia's 1st A320 in their fleet to wear Sharklets on the wings. 

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSH (1st Visit)

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSH arrived at 07.00hrs from Singapore as 'SQ279'. The aircraft departed back to Singapore as 'SQ278' at 09.25hrs.

This was SSH's 1st visit to Adelaide and it was also thei aircraft's 1st visit to Australia since it was delivered on 27/8/15.

Alliance Airlines VH-NKU arrived ex. Brisbane at 21.05hrs as 'UTY990'. After a quick fuel stop the aircraft departed to Perth at 22.00hrs using the same flight number.

This aircraft has not long been flying with Alliance since its arrival as OE-LFK in a hybrid Austrian Airlines livery

Virgin Australia F100 VH-FWH (1st Visit)

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines F28-0100 VH-FWH arrived at 11.45hrs from Wagga Wagga as 'VOZ9915'.

This was FWH's 1st visit to Adelaide as Virgin Australia. The aircraft was in transit from Wagga Wagga back to Perth after having Virgin Australia titles applied to it. The aircraft was formerly flying with Alliance Airlines, sister ship FWI has alos joined the Virgin fleet.

Business Aviation Asia Gulfstream 550 B-8292 (1st Visit)

Business Aviation Asia Gulfstream 550 B-8292 arrived direct from Shanghai, Hongqiao Airport at 09.05hrs. The aircraft night stopped in Adelaide and departed on 8/8/15 at 14.10hrs to Perth.

This was 8292's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was also the 2nd Chinese registered business jet to visit Adelaide in the space of 2 weeks.

Gulfstream 450 B-LCK arrived from Kota Kinabalu at 11.10hrs. After spending 4 days in Adelaide the aircraft departed on 29/7/15 to Albury, NSW at 14.00hrs.

Hi Fly A340-500 CS-TFX (1st Visit) with Liverpool FC on board

Hi Fly A340-500 CS-TFX arrived at 20.20hrs from Brisbane as 'HFY761'. After spending 2.5 days in Adelaide, the aircraft dpearted to Kuala Lumpur at 14.05hrs as 'HFY721' on 21/7/15.

This aircraft brought English Premier League side Liverpool FC to Adelaide for the exhibitiojn match against Adelaide United FC on 20/7/15.

This was TFX's 1st visit to Adelaide and to Australia. This was only the 4th A340-500 to ever visit Adelaide, the last visit was on 9th November 2011 when Etihad Airways A340-500 A6-EHC diverted into Adelaide whilst en route Abu Dhabi-Melbourne.

Crown Casino Global Express VH-CCX (1st Visit)

Crown Melbourne Global Express VH-CCX arrived at 08.15hrs from Hong Kong. After resting the day in Adelaide the aircraft departed to Melbourne, Tullamarine at 18.30hrs.

This was CCX's 1st visit to Adelaide. 

Lynden Air Cargo P2-LAC (1st Visit)

Lynden Air Cargo Lockheed L-100-30 P2-LAC arrived at 22.15hrs direct from Port Moresby as 'LYB 5026'. After night stopping in Adelaide, the aircraft departed to Cairns the following morning at 11.50hrs using the same flight number.

This was Lynden Air 's and the P2-LAC 1st visit to Adelaide. 

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSG (1st Visit)

Singapore Airlines A330-300 9V-SSG arrived from Singapore at 07.00hrs as 'SQ279'. The aircraft departed at 09.25hrs back to Singapore as 'SQ278'.

This was SSG's 1st visit to Adelaide since it entered service on 30/6/15. This was also SSG's 1st visit to Australia as well.

China Southern B787-8 B-2732 operating 'CZ319' from Guangzhou- Perth arrived into Adelaide at 10.00hrs due to thick fog blanketing Perth. After spending a little bit of time in Adelaide and a quick refuel the aircraft departed back to Perth at 11.45hrs.

This was the 1st visit of B-2732 to Adelaide, it was alost the 1st visit of B787-8 to Adelaide. However it was the 2nd visit by a B787 to Adelaide, the 1st was Air New Zealand B787-9 ZK-NZE back in November 2014.

SAAB Global 6000 SE-RMT (1st Visit)

SAAB operated Global 6000 SE-RMT arrived from Singapore, Changi at 16.55hrs. After a 1.5 day stay in Adelaide the aircraft departed to Canberra on 13/7/15 at 07.00hrs.

Thsi was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide.

A trio of Emirates B777-300ER's grace the tarmac of Adelaide Airport

A rare sight at Adelaide Airport today with 3 B777-300ER's on the ground at once  which is 1st for Adelaide.

B777-300ER A6-ECO arrived on Tuesday 2/6/15 at 19.35hrs as 'EK440'. The aircraft failed to deprt as the scheduled 'EK441' flight at 21.50hrs due to mechanical reasons. The aircraft is still onm the ground in Adelaide.

Emirates sent in a replacement aircraft to take out the passengers from ECO. B777-300ER A6-ENV arrived at 18.14hrs on a ferry flight from Perth as 'EK9923'. The aircraft departed at 20.18hrs as 'EK441D'.

This was ENV's 1st visit to Adelaide, it is also the 1st visit of a EN* block B777-300ER into Adelaide.

The 3rd B777-300ER to make an appearnace was A6-EGH which arrived at 19.52hrs from Dubai as 'EK440'. The aircraft departed as scheduled at 21.50hrs back to Dubai as 'EK441'

Cobham RJ85 G-CIKF arrives

Cobham Aviation RJ85 G-CIKF arrived from Darwin at 14.10hrs using its registration as its callsign. The aircraft had a long journey to end up in Adelaide. The delivery flight begun in Tirana, Albania then moved onto Luxor. After a few more stops it flew Jakarta, Halim- Denpsarsar- Darwin on 25/5/15 where it overnight before departing to Adelaide.

A few days later the G- registration was peeled away and re-registered VH-NJU. This is the 2nd RJ85 to join the Cobham fleet joing VH-NJW.

Regional Express SAAB 340b VH-VNA (1st visit)

Regional Express SAAB 340B VH-VNA arrived at 08.10hrs from Mount Gambier as 'ZL4612'. After operating numerous flights over a 3 day period to various cities in South Australia. The aircraft departed back to the Eastern states via Mount Gambier on 15/5/15.

This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide. The aircraft had recently joined the REX fleet after the demise of Vincent Aviation where it was registered ZK-VAA. Prior to that the aircraft was based in Australia operating for MacAir as VH-UYA.

Silkway West Airlines B747-400F 4K-SW888 makes a visit to Adelaide

Silkway West Airlines B747-400F 4K-SW888 arrived direct from Baku (Heyder Alieyv Intl.), Azerbaijan at 10.00hrs as 'Silk West 6016'. After originally planed for a 3hr stopover in Adelaide, it turned into a 12hr stopover with the aircraft departing to Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum Intl.) at 22.10hrs as 'Silk West 6017'.

Ths aircraft creadted a few records upon touch down at Adelaide Airport. This was the 1st ever Azerbaijan registered aircraft to ever visit Adelaide. This the 1st visit of Silkway West Airlines to Australia and lastly it was the longest direct flight to Adelaide.

Royal Air Force C130J-30 C.4 Hercules ZH865 arrived at 15.25hrs from Wellington, New Zealand as 'Ascot 5880/ RRR5880'. After spending the weekend in Adelaide, the aircraft departed on 27/4/15 bound for Perth at 10.00hrs as 'Ascot 5881/ RRR5881'.

This was the aircraft's 1st visit to Adelaide, it was the 1st C130J to visit Adelaide. It was also the 1st RAF aircraft to visit Adelaide since 30/7/07.
